Yuli Kovbasnian (1986) - Born in Russia. Kovbasnian holds a B.ed in Dance from Seminar Hakibutzim College. In 2013 Kovbasnian was awarded the danceWEB scholarship at ImPulsTanz Vienna International Dance Festival. Since then she collaborated with various artists like Arkadi Zaides, Yasmeen Godder, Nava Frenkel, Talia de Vries, Ido Feder, May Zarhy and Michal Oppenheim from Israel and abroad with Trajal Harrell and Mor Demer. In 2016, she presented her new work, ON LINE on the ‘Dance Arena Festival’ in collaboration with Kelim Choreography Center. Her last solo work Marie/ Sorry, I didn't mean it was created at frame of the residency of RE-SEARCH dance center, premiered in ‘Between Heaven and Earth Festival’ 2016 in Jerusalem.
Pieces (temporary title) - This project is based on “5 Pieces for Orchestra, Op.10” by composer Anton Webern. The dance reflects it by selectively including deconstructed layers from each one of them, while the choreography becomes an instrument of organization of all ingredients in time and space.
